So, the con has come and gone.
Originally wasn't planning on attending this year, and had nothing "new" to bring to the table. But one of the organizers had nudged me into participating since the convention had apparently lost a lot in the continued aftermath of Covid.
So, I brought my modeling attempts at Canis Rex, St. Sebastian Thorn, and the Fortress of Arrogance on Friday afternoon. Didn't pay much attention to the going-ons of Saturday, and only came back on Sunday afternoon to pick up my toys during the final hours of the convention.
It was disappointing that the normal modeling contest was not happening, but wasn't there to win anything. No win, just support.
Was surprised that I was the only Warhammer 40k player to participate. Most of the other entries were props from other franchises.
I did get some random praise, I was told that St. Thorn had gotten a lot of attention. I keep forgetting how large of a catholic population is in the area. The BlingBlade 2.0 got some attention of its own, even though it was the one special project I had done for the convention and as a memorial for a deceased friend. The Canis Rex conversion was the "wallflower" of the show.
