It has been a while since I posted anything here, which i apologize for. Things have been more hectic than what would considered to be "optimal." To break up the monotony, here is a quickly terrain project: super heavy scale tank traps! While dinning at one of our regular buffet restaurants, I became a bit curious about the shape of a desert cup that they were using for serving their presumed "strawberry cheesecake" pudding out of.

After much obsessing over, I made a quick mold of it, added some Aquila symbols to it and ta-da! A tank trap big enough to give a Baneblade a headache! And large enough to provide some cover for even a terminator.

The first mold attempt had problems with distortion, but was good enough to be made usable with some sanding and shaping. Second mold attempt came out much better, but the resin began to behave a bit funny with the last three runs. Got around twenty made before I finally ran out of resin. This should be more than enough for a 4' x 6' table, you can't keep the super heavy vehicles coupe up in too little of a space. In hindsight, I should have tried to mold them as a hollow object, rather than a solid chunk of resin, might have been able to stretch out the production for another possible three to six pieces. Another problem is a concern about attaching them to the necessary bases with screws instead of just straight glue. Either way, they will look good at the local GW store whenever another Apocalypse game is set up for play.
