After assembling ten outriders (1 chap, 9 outriders), I have a suggestion to save others some trouble. From what I can tell, GW is molding their new kits to rather high tolerances that a layer of primer/paint is enough to throw off how things are supposed to go together. The outrider bike is one in particular. So prior to assembling, I suggest that you carefully drill out all of the holes with a 3/32"(for the smaller holes) and a 5/32" (for the larger holes) drill bit by hand or drill vice.

Am way behind on keeping this blog up to date with what has been going on as of late.

Haven't painted anything in a while, but just one of the few things that I had started on before being distracted. And I thought that it was interesting to see the comparision between similar models before and after the use of a wash coat with Nulin Oil.

Another support figure completed. Like the last Captain, kind of got mixed feelings over how this figure was molded. Is kind of a nice redesign on the first born techmarines, really dig the servo arm with some steampunk detailing. But the mechindite tendril claw thing, it is rather filmsy in how it connects to the backpack. Came close to breaking it beyond repair on more than a few occasions. Was tempted to convert a vampire head to be more cybernetic, but decided against it based upon the time needed. Might do it if I need another techmarine figure for competitive play. Now I cringe at the thought of doing the death company squads next on the list.... unless the postal service says otherwise.

A small selection of a batch of recently produced terrain...

WIP: Flesh Tearers Heavy HellBlasters

WIP: Hammerfall Bunker "Cretacian Gift Basket"

Not the first project of the year, but started one of these for the heck of it. And as you can see, there have been several modifications made to it during assembly, which has come to a stop as we wait for some remaining parts to come in.
